Centres

Centres allow you to assign your clients and groups to a common area where the credit officers goes to meet them.

This meeting point can be a market or some other location and normally is once per week.

Creating Centres in Mambu allows you to have more control over your clients and groups, and associate them with credit officers.

Create a new centre

To create a new centre, go to Administration > click on Organization > Centres > New Centre > fill the form > click Create Centre.

In the form you'll be able to define the centre's ID (internal number used to identify each centre), the meeting day (the day of the week when credit officers and clients will meet in the area that corresponds to that centre) and the branch that the centre is assigned to.

Meeting day

This is the day of the week when the clients who belong to the centre meet with the credit officer.

When you define a meeting day for a centre, the repayment schedules of all clients belonging to that centre need to match that day.

If you try to disburse a loan with the repayment dates on a different day, you will then get a warning message telling you to match it with the centre's meeting day.
