Create a template for SMS notificationsYou can use this service to notify your clients about their upcoming or missed repayments or about the approval of loans. To create a new notification, 1) go to Administration > Services Integration > click on the switch to activate the service
> click on the icon to start creating the notifications. Here you'll see two text boxes where you can add the text and a colum with placeholders you can include in the message.
2) Enter the text in the appropriate field and include the placeholders you need by clicking on them > Save the changes.
Placeholders The placeholders that you include in the template will automatically display the correspondent information when a notification is sent. Suppose you want to send a repayment receipt to your clients everytime they make a repayment. In this case you would only need to include the placeholder Amount in the template where you enter the text. After saving the changes, all the clients who you decide should be notified, will receive a message stating the amount they repaid everytime the transaction is logged in the system.

Choose a group member to receive the notificationsFor group notifications, you can select a specific member to whom all the notifications should be sent. This is only possible through the use of group roles, so these should be defined in advance. First by creating the different roles in Mambu Settings, and then by assigning them to different members in a group. To choose which of the group members should receive the notifications go to Services Integration > SMS notifications > click on the icon on the right of SMS Notifications > Click on the icon next to SMS notification triggers > choose the role who will receive the notifications > Save Changes.

Deactivate and reactivate a notificationYou can deactivate notifications at any time. When a notification is deactivated it will stop being sent to all the clients. To deactivate a notification, just go to Administration > Services Integration > SMS Notification Triggers > click on the switch on the right side of the notification you want to deactivate > Save Changes. To reactivate a notification that has been previously deactivated, you just need to click on the switch next to that notification > Save Changes. You'll see that the switch turns green, showing you the notification is activated again.
